Motorhome Park Passes are groups of motorhome parks that offer free or discounted camping to members. However, there are a few passes to RV parks and discount clubs that can help keep RV camping costs down. While motorhome clubs do have some discounts on campsites, we will primarily focus on campsite memberships because they offer the most savings.
Boost Your RV Camping Savings

Campsites aren’t always the most desirable places to stay (this is the case with most camping trips), but if that’s what you’re looking for, you should be looking for discounts. Each campsite is slightly different, so check with your destination for accurate information on discounts, availability, and length of stay. Please be aware that depending on your membership, campsites may have rules and regulations about when they offer discounts. Some campsites do not offer club discounts on certain holidays or days of the week.
Discount Club Pricing
Discount RV Clubs are membership programs that offer discounts on overnight rates at campsites or hobo sites across the country. The subscription includes a 10% discount at over 2,000 different campsites and caravan sites across the country. For $44 per year, members can save 50% off the regular price per night at approximately 1,800 motorhome campsites. It’s a small discount compared to other passes, but it has a much larger base of campsites to use it with.
It also has other perks and discounts to help offset its low annual price of $25–$29. So, depending on your style of RVing and how often you hit the road, this camping pass could easily pay for itself quickly if you take advantage of Good Sam’s offers. Whether you plan to stay at least 7 nights a year at Good Sam RV Park or shop regularly at World Campground, this membership is good value for money. The best part of the membership is the discounts you get when you purchase camper van products from Camping World when you purchase products to customize your new RV.
You then also get discounts on other popular subscriptions like Passport America, Harvest Host, and Boondockers Welcome. The $44/year subscription is similar to KOA or Sam Good, but with a bigger camping discount. Membership in the KOA Value Card offers a 10% discount on accommodation at all KOA campsites.
KOA and More
KOA is the only camping option when we visit part of our family in the Midwest, so we keep the membership to keep costs down for that stay. Harvest Host membership is $99.00 a year for overnight stays while traveling. There are over 2600 camping opportunities with HH. These are subscriptions, the main advantage of which is accommodation at a campsite at a discount.
These memberships are a good option for full-time RV owners or RV owners on a budget who want to spend as little as possible on camping fees. New campers will take full advantage of this membership, but not because of the 10% discount at participating campgrounds. With some subscriptions, RVers can even camp for free, making it an even better investment.
Their membership is similar to AAA membership, where the membership fee gives you a small but significant discount at many companies and campgrounds. All of these membership clubs offer more than just camping discounts. One benefit is access to a network of discounted campsites (same concept as Passport America), as well as super-affordable prices at several Escapees-operated parks around the country.
Passport America will usually give you a better deal on discounted campsites, but it’s always worth checking out other options as well. Plus, for just $44 a year, an Escapees membership will give you several other benefits besides the camping discount. In addition to huge discounts on campsites, the Runaways pay special attention to their community.
You can save ten to fifty percent on camping by using a tourist pass. If subscription camping isn’t for you, but would still like to save on camping fees, we recommend that you find one of the many discount camping clubs. KOA rewards cards are $33.00 annually and this saves you 10% on camping fees.
