6 Travel Apps You Must Use

Apps I have used that might be useful to you as well

The list below highlights the top travel apps that have proven most useful for my adventures, adding efficiency and value to many road trips. When planning our trip, I downloaded some great travel apps to help you with everything from customizable packing slips to mobile passports to help you get through customs faster.

Several apps are specifically designed to help road travelers, many of which are free, so you can focus on enjoying your trip without getting bogged down in the details.

Starting from the top down I will share why I like each app.

Whether you are a van dweller, Motor home pusher, or camper tower, these 6 travel apps will be useful to all! Check them out and let me know how you like them and if you have any that you would like to see reviews on!

C-RV Military app is useful for veterans as well. You can find campgrounds all over the country! When you click on the campground in the state of your choice it links to a page about the campground and everything about that campground. You can then send it to google maps for directions right to the site! How convenient is that?!

NPS is the national park app. If you plan on visiting national parks you should download this app! You can save your favorites and make lists in the app as well as access park content on the go! They also have webcams in the park which is pretty neat because you can get a sneak peek at the park before you go. This will be a handy app during this pandemic and fire season because they will list park closures!

Dump stations are exactly what it sounds like! A map of the US with every dump station listed on the map! Click on one and you get details and directions right to it! Handy to have if you are in between campgrounds or boondocking!

iExit is a nice travel app that shows you upcoming exits that are close to you and what is at each exit. Looking for Wendy’s? Find it on iExit! It will show you gas stations with fuel prices, and hotels and even has a coupon button to save you money!

TripIt also allows you to share your travel plans with others, which is very useful when arranging travel plans with family/friends. The Travel List app also helps you plan every step of your trip and never miss a thing. TripIt can advise you on what to pack based on the length of your trip, how long you’ll be at your destination, and the specific activities planned during your trip.

I hope you enjoyed this article and please share if you have an app that you love!
